Balance

Balance comes through reduction of pain, improved immunity, emotional well being and increased energy. Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine have the ability to brilliantly effect this balance. Acupuncture, herbs, bodywork, healthy eating and lifestyle all play a role in obtaining overall synergy. I feel so blessed on a daily basis that I am doing what I enjoy most – helping people find balance and feel better in their bodies.

Having practiced for 15 years I have had the honor to treat many different types of people and issues. True healing comes from within; my role is to help support you during your process of healthy self-discovery and making good choices that bring balance into your life.

Areas of Focus

My areas of focus include Acupuncture, Herbal Therapy, Aromatherapy, ColorpunctureShiatsu (form of bodywork) and Tuning Forks (sound therapy). Each session incorporates one or more of these disciplines allowing enhanced support for each individual. I use many non- invasive techniques to allow comfort for the people I treat.

Children and Teens

I love working with children, including those with special needs. I started focusing on working with kids and teens a few years ago and found that it was so rewarding to see children become stronger in their minds and bodies. Headaches, stomachaches, bed wetting, anxiety, stress, body pain, hormonal imbalances, side effects from autoimmune diseases, side effects from prescription drugs are just some of the areas I have helped treat. Watching children begin to navigate the world differently due to reduction of stress and pain is amazing and makes my job so fun!

From Dance to Acupuncture

I initially studied modern dance, and my favorite courses were Anatomy, Physiology and Kinesiology. Learning how the intricacies of our body work together was what I loved most. In 1995 I had a sever dance injury that required long term healing. I decided to try Acupuncture to reduce my pain and was amazed at the results. That injury took me out of dance and into medicine, a path that I happily embrace.

When I am not treating patients I am either spending time with my two beautiful boys, in a yoga class, dancing, hiking, climbing and traveling.

I look forward to working with you,
Shannon
